Clark men beat Centralia, women fall short

The Clark College men’s basketball team rolled to a 92-61 home win Wednesday over Centralia.

Kendal Brown scored 22 points off the bench to lead Clark, which improved to 5-1 in Northwest Athletic Conference West Division play and 12-5 overall.

The Penguins led 17-5 after forcing early turnovers. Clark gradually widened the lead to 53-36 at halftime.

Centralia fell to 1-5 in NWAC play, 2-15 overall.

With only seven players in uniform, Clark ran of gas in a 86-58 loss to Centralia.

Clark (9-5, 4-2) led 35-28 at halftime, largely thanks to making seven of eight shots from 3-point range.

But Centralia (6-0, 17-2) took a 46-45 lead with 12:29 to play and never looked back.
