A Portland driver was injured in a crash Tuesday night with a motor home on Interstate 5 near Vancouver.

Hiu Yu, 64, was driving a 2001 Silver Chrysler 300 sedan north on the highway when traffic slowed to a stop because of road construction about four miles north of Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Chrysler struck a 1993 22-foot Winnebago motor home, driven by Debra Rush, 61, of Aumsville, Ore., at about 8:40 p.m.

Yu was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for injuries, but was not listed as a patient Wednesday morning.

Troopers said that Yu caused the crash and was cited for following too closely.
