Vancouver — Real estate sales were strong in Southwest Washington in June, with large increases from a year ago in both closed and pending sales, according to RMLS, the Portland-based real estate listing service.

The month’s 850 closed sales represented a 33 percent increase over June 2014 and marked the highest number of June closings since 2005. Pending sales, at 894 for the month, were 25 percent higher than in June of 2014, although those sales dropped slightly from May.

The year-to-date median sale price of homes sold in Southwest Washington was $259,900, a 10.6 percent increase from the $235,000 median for the same six-month period of 2014.
