Vancouver — Windermere Stellar has renamed its Windermere Mortgage Services unit, which now will be called Penrith Home Loans, the company said Monday. The company has 11 offices in the Portland metro area, Vancouver and the north Oregon Coast.

The name change does not affect the ownership structure or leadership of the business, said Brian Allen, owner and president of Windermere Stellar.

In creating the separate brand, the company said it wanted to select a name relating to Windermere, which is the name of communities in England and Seattle. The name Penrith comes from a community in England.
