PORTLAND — Authorities have arrested two brothers accused of killing a Parkdale, Oregon, man who vanished last year.

Sheriff Matt English of Hood River County says 27-year-old Michael Schneider and 22-year-old Donald Schneider were booked Wednesday on charges of murder, burglary and unlawful use of a weapon. Another brother, 23-year-old Peter Schneider, was charged with burglary.

Jason Muschaweck disappeared on his 24th birthday in May 2014. Relatives reported a possible burglary, and deputies found his pit bull had gunshot and stab wounds.

English says the arrests were made after search warrants were served at two homes early Wednesday.
