Pleasant Valley, Chief Umtuch, Frontier bands win in Junior Parade

Clark County bands won three awards at Wednesday’s Fred Meyer Junior Parade, part of the ongoing Portland Rose Festival.

Pleasant Valley Middle School, part of Battle Ground Public Schools, was named a sweepstakes winner.

In the Open Class bands (100 or more members), Chief Umtuch Middle School of Battle Ground won first place. Frontier Middle School, part of Evergreen Public Schools, was second.

This year’s band sweepstakes winner was Meadow Park Middle School of Beaverton, Ore.
