Published: June 3, 2015, 12:00am

People can visit Fire District 6’s main Hazel Dell station on Saturday afternoon to learn more about what emergency responders do. The event includes K-9 demonstrations, a Life Flight helicopter visit, fire engine rides and ambulance tours. Kids will also get the chance to see what it’s like to be a firefighter by putting on turnouts and spraying a firehose. There will be free hot dogs, chips, pop, snowcones and popcorn.

The festivities run noon to 4 p.m. at 8800 N.E. Hazel Dell Ave.
