EVERETT — Police say a Marysville man has pleaded guilty to raping his 6-year-old stepdaughter after allegedly advertising the girl online.

The Everett Daily Herald reports ( that police are trying to identify others who may have answered the Craigslist ads that were posted by the man and his wife.

Investigators recovered at least one video showing an unknown man engaged in criminal behavior with the girl.

The arrests were the result of a multi-state child pornography investigation that led Snohomish County officials to the couple’s Marysville home. The Herald did not publish their names to protect the children. They are now with Child Protective Services.

Prosecutors say the 56-year-old man pleaded guilty Thursday to child rape, molestation and possession of child pornography. He faces at least 20 years in prison.

The girl’s 34-year-old mother has been charged with multiple sex crimes.
