Letter: Hiring practices questioned

A June 4 story reported “County may amp up oversight of quarries: New position may be created to make sure they obey rules.” Don’t bother hiring anyone for this quarry job. Just let Councilors David Madore and Tom Mielke find a way to get the job for their buddy Don Benton. They are so good at hiring Benton for any job that comes up. Benton may need the money and, even with no experience, he can do the job. I am 82 years old and feel strongly regarding this.
