PORTLAND — A 20-year-old former cheerleader from the Portland suburb of Lake Oswego has pleaded guilty to helping a 31-year-old man take her former schoolmate to Washington for prostitution.

The Oregonian reports that Julia Haner pleaded guilty Monday to violating the federal Mann Act, which makes it a crime to transport someone between states for prostitution.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on September 28. Haner’s attorney and the U.S. Attorney’s Office plan to recommend a four-year prison sentence

Haner and a 30-year-old man named Konrod Mason were arrested in 2014 on federal grand jury counts of sex trafficking a minor. Mason pleaded guilty to transporting a minor for prostitution April 6.

Haner is accused of recruiting for prostitution a girl she used to ride the school bus with to Lake Oswego High School.
