SEATTLE — A pregnant woman has been shot in the stomach in Seattle’s Dunlap neighborhood.

Seattle police say the shooting occurred at about 1:45 a.m. Friday at Rainier Ave. South and South Rose Street.

When police arrived, they found the female victim nearby at Rainier and Othello. They say a witness had driven the woman there before stopping to wait for medics and police.

Medics took her to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg says the woman is in serious condition in their intensive care unit.

A K9 officer attempted to track the suspects starting at Rainier and Rose Street where officers found spent shell casings. Gang and homicide detectives are at the shooting scene and will help with the investigation.

Seattle police are asking any witnesses to the shooting to contact the department’s tip line.
