Ridgefield — The board of Ridgefield-based Corwin Beverage Co. has launched a search for a new chief executive following the resignation of Ron Lloyd, who held the position for just two months. Corwin gave no reason for Lloyd’s resignation.

The Portland firm of Herd Freed Hartz is handling the search, which is expected to take six months to a year. Corwin’s daily business operations are directed by a four-person executive team in coordination with the family-owned company’s board of directors.

Corwin, a regional beverage distributor, is a fourth-generation, family-owned business founded in 1941. It has more than 120 employees and operates more than 100 trucks which distribute beverages and food throughout the Portland-Vancouver area.
