I can’t begin to describe my surprise when I opened the June 19 newspaper and Councilor David Madore’s campaign advertisement flier fell out. To retain my breakfast I quickly slid it under the paper. Then I begin to think about it.
This is the same Columbian that Madore publicly refuses to read, much less acknowledge. But he seems to certainly be acknowledging that this is the best way to get “his” message out? So, I forced myself to read it and with each passing sentence I wished I wouldn’t have.
He “saved” us from $8 tolls on a bridge never built? This figure came from his camp. It was never verified by anyone outside of the Madorean political circus. He helped create “thousands of jobs” with the no-fee program? Really?
But the real focal point is his campaign mantra this time around: “I support policies encouraging personal responsibly, open government, forthrightness, accountability and transparency.” Anyone remember the hiring of Don Benton transparency?
