Small-business owners in Vancouver will hold a press conference Thursday in a show of opposition to a proposal to build an oil transfer terminal at the Port of Vancouver.

The event begins at 10 a.m. at Hoesly Eco Auto & Tire, 210 W. McLoughlin Blvd. in Vancouver. It will feature a photo display of 101 small businesses that oppose the oil terminal proposed by Tesoro Corp., a petroleum refiner, and Savage Cos., a transportation company.

After the press conference, business owners will drive Tesla and hybrid vehicles to Olympia to tout their message to Gov. Jay Inslee.
