PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police say a man used a metal grate to break a glass door Sunday night and enter the Multnomah County Courthouse.

Deputies responded to an alarm and also received a 911 call from a deputy district attorney who was leaving the building and discovered the break-in.

The suspect came out and surrendered. The 27-year-old Portland man is charged with burglary, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

Police say he had pulled a fire alarm. They also say he had pulled a fire alarm earlier at the Portland Police Bureau Central Precinct.
