PeaceHealth and Oregon Health and Science University’s Knight Cardiovascular Institute have joined forces to enhance cardiovascular surgery services throughout Southwest Washington.

The collaboration will use the expertise of OHSU Knight Cardiovascular Institute surgeons and researchers to build on the range of complex heart and vascular procedures already offered at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver and PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, according to a news release.

OHSU will be bringing its research program to the collaboration, offering clinical trials and novel therapies to patients at the PeaceHealth hospitals. Additional benefits of the collaboration include advancements in cardiovascular therapies for heart failure and heart valve disease, more minimally invasive procedures, and new services in structural heart disease and advanced electrophysiology, according to the news release.

OHSU cardiovascular surgeons are now seeing patients with PeaceHealth’s Heart and Vascular surgical team at PeaceHealth Medical Group Cardiovascular Surgery clinic on the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center campus.
