A Camas teenager injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday on state Highway 14 was in satisfactory condition Thursday at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Donnelle Bogoto, 17, was the passenger in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee that was traveling west on the highway at about 4 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. A 2008 Ford F-350 pickup traveling east and turning north onto 32nd Street in Washougal struck the side of the Jeep, according to WSP.

The driver of the Jeep, Tanner Pfaff, 17, of Camas, lost control of the vehicle and the Jeep overturned, coming to rest in the westbound lane, according to troopers. Bogoto sustained injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital. Pfaff was not injured.

The pickup fled the scene, but was found abandoned a short time later.

State troopers continue their investigation into the collision. The driver of the pickup could face hit-and-run charges, Trooper Will Finn said.
