Letter: A lot of bunk trumpeted on pages

The Columbian
Published: March 6, 2015, 12:00am

The Columbian has reached the epitome of screaming yellow journalism in its huge headlines, such as the Feb. 27 “Benton racks up mileage dollars.” Imagine, 17 trips in a year at $120 a trip. That’s a whopping $2,040. How wasteful. Isn’t there a senior editor to proofread headlines?

Does The Columbian have to resort to such drivel, making itself the laughing stock of the journalism world by publishing such tripe?
