The GOP leadership in Congress promised to work with President Obama, and again have ignored the American people, therefore, we the people lose.
Republican leadership continues to throw bad ideas at the American people, such as the Keystone pipeline. We are told it will help the price of gas go down, because we will have more oil. Doubtful.
During a recent trip to Louisiana, the gas price in Vancouver was less than $1.90 a gallon. As we traveled southeast to Louisiana, the gas price ranged between $2.29 and $2.49 a gallon. Feb. 10-21 were the trip dates. Now gas in Vancouver is between $2.55 to $2.79 for regular unleaded.
More scary was the trip back via California highways 395, 44, and 89 from Reno, Nev., to Weed, Calif. Several of the reservoirs were nearly empty of water and there was no snow on the road or hills. Could it be global warming? The local Republican congressman, Doug LaMalfa of Redding, Calif., signed a letter refuting global warming.
