GRESHAM, Ore. — Police in the east Portland suburb of Gresham say a 15-year-old Portland boy accused of attempted murder has been arrested in a weekend gang-related shooting that wounded a 23-year-old man.

The Oregonian reports that Lt. Claudio Grandjean says the victim in the Sunday evening shooting, Umberto Velasco-Arango, is expected to recover.

Officers searched the area near the shooting scene and arrested the teen. He was booked into the Multnomah County juvenile detention center.
