Battle Ground police are looking for a man allegedly involved in a assault with a knife Tuesday.

Around 12:30 p.m. police were sent to the 100 block of Northeast First Avenue, where they spoke with witnesses who said the assailant ran and that the victim, a 15-year-old boy, had been driven to a local hospital. Battle Ground police said they later learned the boy’s injuries weren’t serious.

Officers canvassed the area, but didn’t find the suspect, 20-year-old James A. Loudermilk of Battle Ground. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Aaron Kanooth at 360-342-5254 or aaron.kanooth@cityofbg.org. Tipsters can also leave information anonymously at www.cityofbg.org/tips.
