Esther Short — Volunteers spent some time March 5 sorting through food donated to FISH of Vancouver’s downtown weekday food pantry, from the Walk & Knock food drive.

During the drive, grocery bags are distributed throughout the county and residents fill them with food and leave them on their steps the first Saturday of December.

Members of Walk & Knock then go around collecting all the food. This year, the group donated more than 26,000 pounds of food to the pantry.
