March showers have reached Southwest Washington, bringing an end to a string of warm, sunny, almost summerlike days.
The change isn’t as gray as the sky, however. The rain should help tamp down pollen that is already affecting those with allergies, and slightly alleviates what could become a dangerous wildfire season.
Only 0.04 inch of rain had fallen at Pearson Field in Vancouver as of 7 a.m., but forecasts called for more rain and wet roads this afternoon.
Thursday will be cloudy with some fog, before rain returns for the weekend. Very little or no sunshine is in the five-day forecast.
