United Cerebral Palsy of Oregon and Southwest Washington is leading the charge to raise $4,400 for a new running chair and a jogging stroller for 5-year-old Micah Snell of Camas.

Micah and his dad, Jeff Snell, have completed eight marathons together. The money collected through the fundraiser, www.crowdrise.com/MicahsMiles/fundraiser/unitedcerebralpalsya23, will be used to purchase the new state-of-the-art running chair and a jogging stroller for daily use.

The duo collects donations for each marathon they run and donates the money to various charities.

Last year, the pair completed four marathons to celebrate Micah’s fourth birthday. This year, they’ll run five marathons, finishing the series June 21 with the Vancouver USA Marathon.

The Snell family founded its charitable organization, Micah’s Miles, in 2012.
