OLYMPIA — The Evergreen State College is expected to pick the school’s new president on Monday.
The college board of trustees meets Monday afternoon to vote.
Evergreen president Thomas “Les” Purce, who has served as the college’s president since July 2000, is retiring this summer.
Earlier this year, the college announced on-campus interviews of four finalists.
They are:
• Margaret Madden, provost and vice president for academic affairs at State University of New York at Potsdam.
• Luis Pedraja, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Antioch University Los Angeles.
• Rhona Free, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Eastern Connecticut State University.
• George Bridges, president of Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. He has a doctorate in sociology from the University of Washington.
