SEATTLE — An unidentified man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train on Friday night.

BNSF railroad spokesman Gus Malonas says the man was trespassing on tracks in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood when he was hit by a northbound Amtrak train at about 8 p.m. Friday.

The rail company stopped train traffic on the tracks for several hours but had trains running again by midnight. The man’s identity was not released.
