Trevor Moore reached on an error and scored the go-ahead run on a single by Christian Maddox in the eighth inning on Monday as Mountain View edged host Camas 8-7 in a Class 4A Greater St. Helens League baseball game.

Camas had an early 5-0 lead, but the Papermakers needed a run in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings.

Mountain View (4-2) scored five runs in the top of the third on four hits, a walk and an error to tie the game.

Camas (3-3, 3-4 overall) had only three hits in the game but led 5-0 after a four-run second inning that featured four walks and two hit batsmen.

Preston Jones was 2 for 4 with a triple and RBI and Josh Sablan 2 for 5 for Mountain View.

Hunter Bruno knocked in two runs for Camas.

The 4A GSHL completed its first of three rounds of league action. Union topped Skyview 7-1 Monday to improve to 5-1. Skyview, Mountain View, and Battle Ground are each 4-2, with 12 league games to play.
