The following are local land-use proposals. The county or city may rate them in three categories: nonsignificant, no environmental impact study needed; nonsignificant, provided proponents meet certain conditions; and significant, requiring an environmental impact study.

NORTH OF BENNINGTON:
Fisher’s Landing Retail seeks approval to build a 4,982-square-foot, one-story retail and office building. The 1.37-acre site is near the 16800 block of Southeast First Street, about 300 feet east of a power substation. Environmental impact rating: nonsignificant. Comment deadline: May 13. MERWIN DAM:
Briana Weatherly with PacifiCorp has requested shoreline conditional use and a substantial development permit to install seismic instruments on the crest of Merwin Dam, in a field on the east side of the dam. The 151-acre property, zoned FR-80 and water, is on the west side of Northeast Buncombe Hollow Road, east of Woodland. Environmental impact rating: nonsignificant. Comment deadline: Tuesday.
