PORTLAND — Police have made an arrest in the shooting of a 19-year-old man along the Portland waterfront.

Sgt. Pete Simpson says detectives early Wednesday booked 20-year-old Bruce Jeffrey Holdman into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of attempted murder, assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

Officers who responded late Tuesday afternoon found the victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital.

Police initially said officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Cinco de Mayo Festival in Waterfront Park. They later clarified that the shooting location was outside the festival area.

Simpson says Holdman was arrested at the Rose Quarter Transit Station.
