The body recovered from the Columbia River last week has been identified as that of a Battle Ground man, the Multnomah County (Ore.) Medical Examiner said.

On May 1, a fisherman who was launching his boat from the 42nd Street boat ramp in Portland discovered a body floating in the water. The body was turned over to the medical examiner’s office and identified as Jacob Swanson, 20.

The medical examiner found no signs of foul play.

Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office river patrol deputies recovered Swanson’s body on May 1 near the south bank of the river just downstream from the boat ramp.
