Free summer food offered for children at Boys & Girls Clubs

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington is getting ready to host the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Simplified Summer Food Program for Children.

Meals will be available at no charge to any child 18 years of age and younger. Following are the sites, meals and times. Meal service is Monday through Friday only; there will be no meal service on Friday, July 3.

Breakfast: 8 to 8:30 a.m. July 20 through Aug. 7 only; Hazel Dell Elementary, 511 N.E. Anderson Rd., and Roosevelt Elementary, 2921 Falk Rd.

Lunch: Noon to 12:45 p.m. June 22 through Aug. 21; Hazel Dell Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary and Washington Elementary, 2908 S Street.

Afternoon snack: 3 to 3:30 p.m. June 22 through Aug. 14; Washington Elementary, Clinton and Gloria John Club, 409 N.E. Anderson Rd., O.K. Clubhouse & Teen Turf Club, 4040 Plomondon Street.
