RENTON — The Seattle Seahawks have signed converted offensive lineman Kona Schwenke and defensive end Julius Warmsley to their 90-man roster following rookie minicamp last weekend.

Schwenke is another in Seattle’s line of defensive linemen making the move to the offensive side of the ball. Schwenke played on the defensive line in college at Notre Dame and signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent in May 2014.

He spent time with New England, the Jets and Oakland as well before being released by the Raiders early last week. Schwenke played guard during Seattle’s minicamp and offensive line coach Tom Cable said he stood out.

Warmsley spent the 2014 season on the practice squad/injured reserve list with Seattle. He had been released by the Seahawks on May 5.
