Police are investigating reports that a man on a bicycle exchanged gunfire with two people on a southeast Portland street.

Sgt. Pete Simpson says witnesses told officers Sunday that one suspect fled in one direction and the other two went a different way.

Officers and dogs searched the neighborhood for the suspects but did not find them. No gunshot victims have arrived at Portland hospitals.

Simpson says the Portland Police Bureau’s gang enforcement team is handling the investigation.
