FREE CLINIC OF SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON — MARCIA HOWERY AWARD

Mike Strickland, a pharmacist and a volunteer at the Free Clinic for the past 25 years, recently received the organization’s Marcia Howery Award. The award recognizes one person annually for their service to the medically underinsured in Washington state. Strickland volunteered for many years alongside Marcia Howery, who directed the clinic from its beginning in 1990 until her death in 2008. Strickland has volunteered at least two shifts per month during the past 25 years, and he also serves on its board of directors.
