Letter: Voters partner to save lives

By Jerry Green, Vancouver
Published: November 9, 2015, 6:00am

As fire chief of Clark County Fire District 6, I want to thank our community for approving the levy lid lift for emergency services. The 73 percent approval number was more than we hoped for. Thank you for the strong show of support.

It was difficult to tell you that we were having problems providing an adequate emergency response. We appreciate that you were open to hearing the message and helping us solve the problem.

We are accountable to our community for how we spend your tax dollars, and will report back to you as progress is made on the projects funded by the lid lift. Thank you for partnering with us to save lives and property.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
