Weather conference set for Oct. 24

Meteorologists and others will converge on the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry this month for the annual Winter Weather Forecast Conference.

The popular event, now in its 23rd year, will feature predictions for the upcoming winter in the Northwest. Attendees will also be invited to participate in a raffle.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 24 at OMSI, 1945 S.E. Water Ave. in Portland. The conference is free and open to the public, and hosted by OMSI and the Oregon chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
