Free training program set for manufacturing jobs

Information about a free Certified Production Training program to train workers for manufacturing jobs is available in two orientation programs being held this week.

The orientation sessions about training program are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at WorkSource, 5411 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 15, Vancouver, or at 2 p.m. Thursday at Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, PUB 258C, Vancouver. A Certified Production Technician is trained in safety, manufacturing processes and production, maintenance awareness, quality practices and measurement. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a GED or high school diploma. Manufacturing experience is not required.
