Yacolt girl gives talk in Canada

Yacolt — Kiana Rose, 15, was one of 16 youth delegates selected to present at the Get to Know International Unconference in Calgary, Alberta, on Oct. 2-4. Rose’s presentation included a poster and video showing the process of egg to fledgling in various Pacific Northwest birds, including some of her own personal bird journals. The conference is a youth leadership and professional learning summit focused on finding ways to encourage youths to get outdoors and build lasting, personal connections to nature.
