GRESHAM, Ore. — Authorities say the husband of a Gresham woman charged with murder in their son’s death has been found dead.

The Oregonian reports police responded to a home Sunday after a relative reported finding 43-year-old Ryan Davidoff unconscious. Police say he died at the scene from an apparent overdose of medication, and no foul play is suspected.

The Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office is awaiting toxicology reports to determine the man’s cause of death.

Police found the man’s son, 17-year-old Jacob Davidoff, dead from a gunshot wound in September.

The teen’s mother, Dianne Davidoff, has pleaded not guilty to murder and unlawful use of a weapon in her son’s death. A judge has found the woman unfit to assist in her defense and ordered her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
