MILWAUKIE, Ore. — The city of Milwaukie, Oregon has approved a raise in minimum wage for city workers.

KGW-TV reports that the City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.

The pay hike, proposed by Mayor Mark Gamba, only applies to city employees and contractors.

The Portland City Council approved a $15 minimum wage for its city workers in February. The raise affected about 200 employees.
