North Garrison Heights — PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation Director Carol Van Natta rededicated the Sarah Kortum Caregiver Garden at a ceremony on Oct. 15. The space, located on the third floor of the Firstenburg Tower, is a quiet, serene place where caregivers can take a break. About 100 caregivers donated to help fund the tables, chairs, plants and other garden features, and former PeaceHealth Southwest CEO Joseph Kortum and his wife Robin gave $100,000 to name it in honor of his mother. It was originally dedicated eight years ago, and the garden was in need of a replanting, which led to the rededication ceremony.
