PORTLAND — Police say a Portland resident fired a gun at a burglar early Thursday.
Sgt. Pete Simpson says the burglar ran away and was tracked by police to a vacant residence on Northwest Pettygrove Street.
The suspect was arrested and then taken to a Portland hospital for a medical problem that Simpson says is unrelated to the incident.
