LIVERMORE, Calif. (AP) — Police have identified one of two suspects in a shooting in the parking lot of a Northern California shopping center that left one man dead and another wounded.

Livermore police said Sunday the suspect has been identified as Oakland resident Jason Alexander Brown.

Police obtained a no-bail warrant for his arrest on one count of murder and another count of attempted murder, KGO-TV reported.

Detectives also obtained a search warrant for Brown’s home but found he was not home. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

The identity of the second suspect is still unknown.

The shooting outside a CVS Pharmacy was reported shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday.

When officers got there, they found two men in a car. The driver of the car was already dead. The passenger was rushed to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Both men are believed to be in their 20s and neither of them is from Livermore, said police, who are withholding their names.

Witnesses said a man armed with a long black gun took off with a second suspect in a black BMW.

California Highway Patrol officers spotted the vehicle on Interstate 580 and chased after the car, but lost sight of it in Oakland.
