SEATAC — Officials say a man has been shot to death near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

King County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting Thursday afternoon northeast of the airport at 24th Avenue South and 154th Street. Authorities say a man was found dead at the scene.

Police were looking for a man seen leaving the area after the shooting. King County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cindi West told KOMO-TV (http://goo.gl/E7rhDq) that SWAT teams had arrived and were in a wooded area nearby. One person has been detained.

Kent Fire Department officials say residents in the area received a message from an automated phone calling system telling them to watch for anyone suspicious.

The victim has not been identified.
