Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal head-on crash that happened Saturday night near Amboy as a La Center man.

Brian Willahan, 22, was driving a 1996 Honda coupe east on Northeast Grantham Road just before 10 p.m. when his car crossed the center line in the 13100 block and crashed into a westbound 2003 Chevrolet truck, Clark County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

Willahan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, Stacey Seay, 47, sustained minor injuries and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Traffic detectives continue to investigate what caused the crash, but didn’t anticipate a citation or arrest because the driver who caused the crash died, Neiman said.
