Union’s Ben Gruher chipped in for birdie on the eighth hole to beat Camas’ Brian Humphries as the Titans beat Camas 10-0 in singles to capture the championship of the Titan Cup at Camas Meadows.

The Titan Cup is a four-team Ryder Cup-style event in which teams play foursomes in the morning rounds and singles in the championship round.

The singles match between Gruher pitted last year’s 4A district champion (Gruher) against the 2013 4A state champion (Humphries).

Cason Boyce rallied from three holes down to beat Sean Murray, Keith Lobies birdies the final two holes to beat Logan Miller, and Jace Curtin rolled in a 15-foot par putt to beat Braden Taylor to complete the perfect match for Union.

Joe Beuslinck won both his matches on the day to help Columbia River take third place with a 6-4 win over Skyview.
