Non-league football: Black Hills 46, Columbia River 20

The host Wolves turned three takeaways into points before halftime and got a big game from running back Conner Furu to beat the Chieftains in a non-league game.
Kyler Nygren intercepted two passes, returning one 90 yards for a touchdown. Black Hills also forced a fumble at the end of a long run for Columbia River.
Black Hills quarterback Christian Williams threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Furu finished with 186 yards and a touchdown as the Hawks moved to 4-0 for the first time in school history.
River quarterback Garrett McKee hit Dalton Garrett for a 31-yard touchdown to pull within 27-20 in the third quarter. But Black Hills scored on its next offensive play as Williams hit Mark Melendrez for an 80-yard touchdown to restore a two-score lead and momentum for the home team.
Columbia River (2-2) visits Tumwater next Friday for another non-league game.
