Central Park — The Seattle Sluggers shut out the Spokane Lion Pride twice at Hudson’s Bay High School on Sept. 17, as the two visually impaired teams traveled to Vancouver for a beep baseball doubleheader.

In beep baseball, the ball and bases make a noise, while players are all blindfolded. Blind Onion Pizza and Pub donated pizza for the players and volunteers.

A group is looking to start a beep baseball team in Vancouver, and any visually impaired or blind players interested in joining are asked to call 360-949-7045 or email merribeth.manning@gmail.com.
