Clark splits doubleheader at Chemeketa

Marco Murillo had three RBI and Brendan Griffith went 3 for 5 with an RBI as the Clark College baseball team beat Chemeketa 6-1 in the first game of an NWAC South region doubleheader on Saturday at Salem, Ore.

Chemeketa won the second game 6-4 to take three of the four games from the Penguins.

In the first game, Jesse Bollen was 2 for 3 with two doubles for Clark.

Chris Carns earned the win, pitching eight shut-out innings with seven strikeouts and five walks. He allowed seven hits. (Click here for complete boxscore)

In the second game, Chemeketa (13-10, 6-2) had a 6-1 lead when Clark rallied for three runs in the fourth inning.

Mountain View grad Zach Torson took the loss on the mound for Clark (7-14, 5-3). (Click here for complete boxscore)
