Letter: Trump will stomp ordinary citizens

Those whose minds are warped by the fringe right wing of the Republican Party dismiss those whose insight and wisdom shines a light on their bigoted and narrow-minded hatefulness of all that is good about America.

What today’s GOP stands for began with Ronald Reagan’s trickle-down economics, resulting in today’s shameful wealth gap. His deregulation of the banking industry has led to the constant boom-bust economic cycle we currently “enjoy.”

Then came George W. Bush. He had the world at our side after 9/11. Look at how he capitalized on that.

As for hiring a know-nothing, failed businessman who has multiple bankruptcies and is currently being sued for fraud in his real estate training scam, that would be akin to hiring a brain surgeon straight out of high school.

So some say Donald Trump marches on. He marches on the dignity and human rights of not only all Americans, but the whole of humanity. The world in general hates us for what we’ve become.

One can only hope the GOP does not get what they hope for. If they do, once again ordinary Americans will pay the price.
